The Situation
At a time when wellness consumers were growing increasingly curious about new, emerging beauty ingredients, and increasingly conscious about what was actually in the products they put on their skin and face, a couple private investors with a secret CBD formula were primed to enter the market. But first, they needed strategic guidance on how to bring CBD skincare mainstream and appeal to the masses.

The Strategy
With the understanding that wellness and beauty products today are often formulated with a slew of (questionable) ingredients, Mox Mind + Body Care believed things should be different. Leveraging consumer insight and product research, we built a brand upon the notion that the body is a powerful system that can be healed from the inside out through the use of “power couples” — combining premium CBD with efficacious, natural ingredients that work with the body, not against it.

The Solution
A brand that is fun and relatable, yet rooted in science was born. The resulting strategy, name, visual identity, packaging, custom photography, and website brought to life Mox’s unique mind + body benefits in a transparent, approachable way to build mainstream trust and trial. The brand launched with several distribution deals across big-name retailers like Anthropologie and Target.
